Upstream ,left atrial function has an important effect on left ventricular filling .Since the left ventricle acts as both conduit and pump ,its ability to transfer blood to the ventricle essentially defines the left ventricular filling .So left   atrial volume is a useful indicator of the presence ,chronicity and severity of the left ventricular dysfunction .

Chronic elevation in  arterial pressure also affect left ventricular relaxation and chamber compliance .

CT scan of pelvis-----Fracture of left ala of pelvis seen .There is history of recent delivery and no history of trauma .This fracture belongs to TYPE 1 pattern according to Dennis classification.
